Clark Railworks 'WD' enters production

The all-new Clark Railworks 'WD' 2-10-0 has entered production marking the projects next step towards delivery. It will be the first ever ready-to-run model of the 'Austerity' 2-10-0 with the first production run including Key Model World's Special Edition of 600 Gordon in 1960s period Longmoor Military Railway blue.

The Clark Railworks team has undertaken extensive testing of the final samples to ensure performance is exactly as expected and they will also be the first ready-to-run locomotive to be partnered with Ellis Clark Trains' new Nexus dual-channel sound decoder from the factory.

The model has been amended during the development process with the latest changes including adjustments to the leading wheelset to allow scale-size wheels to be used down to second radius curves with a small modification to the underframe to provide clearance.

In addition, all versions will be factory fitted with three speakers and stay-alives as standard to making them plug-and-play for DCC upgrades while a PCB tray has been developed in the boiler which can be removed for access to the Plux22 interface.

Clark Railworks is expecting the first models to be completed in September to arrive by air in the UK in October with batches arriving across October-January to deliver the full range including our exclusive model of 600 Gordon. We'll have further updates from Clark Railworks as delivery dates are confirmed.

There is still time to pre-order our exclusive model of 600 Gordon both DCC ready and DCC sound fitted. The model captures the now preserved 2-10-0 in its 1960s condition as it was seen at the Longmoor Military Railway and working on the Southern Region on main line railtours in the middle of the decade.
