FIRST LOOK! Exclusive GBRf Class 47 decorated sample
Cavalex Models has delivered the first decorated sample of Key Publishing’s exclusive limited edition 'OO' gauge model of GBRf Class 47 47739 for inspection. The decorated sample takes the new model project closer to production, with delivery of the finished product expected in the first quarter of 2027.

The Brush Type 4 is one of three operated by GB Railfreight from 2019 primarily for use on rolling stock movements with 47739 working alongside 47727 Edinburgh Castle and 47739 City of Truro. Only 47739 has carried full GBRf blue with orange branding.
The model uses Cavalex Models all-new and currently developing tooling for the Class 47 for 'OO' gauge. It features unique details to model 47739 as operated by GBRf including the additional sockets mounted on the headcode panel, squared off buffers, cutaway buffer beams, correct fuel tanks and more.

Internally it features a coreless motor with drive to the outer axles of each bogie. The centre axle is floating for enhanced track holding. In addition it has a 21-pin DCC decoder socket, a full suite of independent lighting functions together with a factory fitted stay alive. The model is available both DCC ready for analogue operation and DCC sound fitted for digital control. The latter is equipped with an ESU LokSound V5 sound decoder coupled to an ESU passive radiator speaker.

Prices are set at £209.95 DCC Ready and £309.95 DCC sound fitted with just 300 models of 47739 being produced. Pre-orders are open now with a £30 non-refundable deposit required to secure your model.
