Unlike the real world, housing is rarely expensive or in short supply on model railways and is an important addition to any layout. Terraced houses were widespread across all developing and industrial areas of Britain throughout the nineteenth century and are similarly popular on model railways. 

Presented as a left-hand terraced house, Hornby’s TT9014 is typical of the standardised red brick design, with front door, chimney and rear outbuilding extension on the left side of the house. Supplied ready-to-plant, the terrace features fine etched metal sash window frames and a realistic brick finish, topped with a grey tiled roof complete with chimney pots.

Suited to any urban area of a town or industrial region, the ubiquitous terraced house is a fitting addition to a TT:120 scale model railway.
