Advance tickets are on sale now for the 2025 Great Electric Train Show which takes place at the Arena MK in Milton Keynes on October 11/12.

The two-day model railway event will feature more than 30 hand-picked model railways together with more than 50 trade stands, demonstrations and more.

Launching the show is a four of standout model railway layouts in ‘OO’ gauge with Pete Waterman’s Making Tracks 5 due to make its next appearance after its summer showing at Chester Cathedral at the event. The new layout turns the station at Bushey into its own layout with the addition of the London Overground lines and the approaches to Wembley Central.

Joining the launch alongside Making Tracks 5 is Graham Nicholas’ stunning Grantham the Streamliner Years which models the East Coast Main Line station in the glory days of the 1930s. Also booked to attend is Greg Marshall’s Folly Lane modelling the Southern Region in ‘OO’ gauge in the 1990s-2000s while High Wycombe and District Model Railway Society’s Junior Section will be exhibiting its ‘OO’ gauge layout Mothecombe.

Look out for new layout announcements on Key Model World and in Hornby Magazine in the run up to the show.

On-the-day ticket prices will be £22 for adults and £11 for children. On Sunday up to two children will be admitted free with each paying adult at the show.
