Built at English Electric’s Vulcan Works in 1962, this locomotive entered traffic as D6786. It was renumbered to 37086 under BR’s TOPS system in 1974 and was later refurbished in 1985 to become Class 37/5 37516.

Hornby's model of 37086 captures the locomotives in the 1980s with a cutaway buffer beam and oval buffers. It was a dual braked Class 37 with both vacuum and airbrake systems onboard.

Internally the locomotive features a Next18 DCC decoder socket and space for a 15mm x 11mm cube speaker. Hornby’s TT:120 Class 37 is highly detailed and is the perfect companion to the modern image passenger freight rolling stock including the TTA tanks, soon to be released Seacow ballast wagons and more.
