Used in conjunction with proprietary NEM TT:120 couplings, an uncoupling ramp is attached to the centre of a track section to allow locomotives and rolling stock to be remotely detached.

The Hornby TT8013 uncoupling ramp is ideal for any layout where hands-free coupling and uncoupling of stock is preferred, but also where manual uncoupling may not be possible, for example under a platform canopy, goods shed or an area of a layout not easily accessible.
