Exclusive Colas Rail HST limited edition in stock now

The latest Key Publishing limited edition to arrive is the Hornby model of Class 43 HST power cars 43277 Safety Task Force and 43257 in Colas Rail livery. Pre-orders are now being processed by the Key Publishing team for this popular addition to the limited edition collection.

The two power cars operate across the national network on Network Rail test trains and are the only two Colas Rail operated HST power cars to carry its orange, black and yellow colour scheme. 43277 was repainted in 2023 and 43257 was repainted the following year with the two exhibiting detail differences in their paint scheme which is catered for in this exclusive limited edition model.

Both DCC ready and DCC sound fitted versions are available - the latter equipped with a pair of Hornby Triplex Sound Bluetooth decoders. Specification highlights include a five-pole motor and twin flywheels in 43277 together with twin speakers, independently powered roof fans and directional lighting in both power cars.

Externally the models feature the correct appearance for the two Class 43s which are equipped with MTU engines.

Pre-order customer orders are being processed now following receipt of the limited edition and remaining stock will be available from the week commencing February 9 2026.

The full price for the two options is £394.99 DCC ready and £449.99 DCC sound fitted. Availability is limited to 400 units total, each supplied with a limited edition certificate.
